American apparel eyewear

Very often I find myself sitting on my favourite pair of sunglasses. On the Roskilde festival I accidently fell asleep on them. In Australia I stepped on them in a fitting room. My favourite ones are not my most expensive ones. It is almost always the ones I happened to found on the weekendmarket in Thailand or in one of the more crappier stores on Chapel st in Melbourne. It doesn't matter, I love them with all my heart and end up destroying them somehow anyways.

So a couple of weeks ago I found my must beloved sunnies broken in two pieces in my handbag. They were my Nicole Richie look alikes and there is no way to fix them.
So now I need a new pair for spring. Luckily American Apparel seems to be my saviour! You have to seen these darlings that you can easily shop online at www.americanapparel.com.
There is also a rumour going around that American Apparel are opening a store in Malmö very soon! Let's hope it's true.

OMG OMG OMG. These are the NEW Nicole Richie look alikes. 75 euros and they are yours.

Saw a lot of sunnies in the style of these in Australia earlier this year.

So vintage Vouge!

If you want to go for the sophisticated smart ass look :)

Danish fashion in Malmö

This was how it looked like when one of Denmarks finest clothing companys decided to open up a store in Malmö on Thursday this week.

Full house

Samsø o Samsø is the name of the brand on everyones lips right now. They make basic clothing trendy in a typical Danish design way. The colour pallette for the season seems to be petrol, dark peach and black. The black preferably as in black leather.

HH fell in love with these pieces...

This little quilted leather jacket bolero is fantastic.

The little black dress is a must in every girls wardrobe. We want this one

Another little black leather jacket with short sleeves.

Week 46/08

An extremly talented young singer/song writer from Scotland with an aspiring musical career. We have to cry when he sings "Last request" live because he knows how to reach out to his audience while singing from his heart. His seemingly effortless way of dressing is something most people would love to master. Whatever he puts on just looks right in some magical way. Paolo Nutini is this weeks Haku hero.

Some of his best dressed moments:

Dressed up jacket dressed down with a pair of jeans.

A shirt and jeans. It may seeem easy but trust us, not all guys know how to wear this outfit. His jeans here are a perfect fit and the shirt is gorgeous.

We had to comment this outfit. A t-shirt that suggests that Swedish people are slutty :) Oh my..

A perfect example of the an effortless outfit. Cool, relaxed and perfect to any chilled out occasion.

Love,

HH

STHLM VS. CPH

Two fashion cities of Scandinavia. Copenhagen and Stockholm. Both with a world known fashion scene. But which is bigger and better when it comes to fashion? Where can you find most inspiration? What city is more fashion forward? And what trends do we see? Haku Heroes have studied www.copenhagenstreetstyle.dk and www.stockholmstreetstyle.feber.se and found that street style is definatly more documented in Sweden. Sweden is way ahead of Denmark when it comes to street style pages who are uploading pictures but danish ones are hard to find. Does this mean that the street style in Denmark is close to nonexisting? Let's have a look.

STOCKHOLM STREET STYLE:

Cute outfit, we love the red chequed shirt but maybe a bit boring? To be on a streetstyle site that is...

This girl has a lot going on. The leather jacket is hot the other stuff is a bit distracting.

WE LOVE this look. Sofisticated yet minimalistic and animalistic :) Very stylista... but fashion forward? Not really.

This was the only descent dressed guy we could find on stockholstreetstyle.feber.se, he is pretty cool though! All dressed in black with dark brown acessories. The hat is a winner.

This girl is cool! Reminds us a bit of the Amanda Berg outfit in an earlier post on HH.

COPENHAGEN:

This girl has probably borrowed her boyfriends jeans shirt. That is so cool and relaxed.

Wow, we have not seen any pants like this anywhere yet. H&M have t-shirts in the same style but pants... Different coloured legs. That's really something new and cool! Imagine taking it further with stockings and leggings with different coloured legs. Maybe in stores 2009?

This is the CPH version of a man dressed in black. Overall there were a lot more well-dressed men on the cph site. This guy really plays with different materials and layering in his outfit which is pretty important if you dress completly in one colour. The scarf is amazing and the shiny pants are daring!

This is a typical Copenhagen look. The indie rock style is huge. This guy has noticed and takes on the trend with a red white striped long sleeve t-shirt under a tweed jacket and grey used washed jeans.

This girl plays with colours and layering. The dress over jeans is so HH. We love to be able to use our favourite summer dresses when it gets colder with a nice pair of slim jeans.

CONCLUSION:

The street fashion in Copenhagen is very much alive. Unfortunatley not too many people keeps a record of it an publish it online. Maybe Haku Heroes will take on that challange someday soon? We find the Stockholm street fashion smart and sofisticated but a bit dull and safe. We like people who challenge themselves and goes a bit further than everyone else. The fact that men's fashion is so much better in Copenhagen makes the city a winner in this little competition. Dare to be different Swedes and maybe you'll win next time :)

week 45/08

We know she kissed a girl. We know she liked it. :) Another thing everyone couldn't help but notice is that she stands out. She makes a statement. She is bold and she dares to surprise you. She is Katy Perry and this weeks haku hero.

Looking good and provocative on the annual MTV European Music Awards earlier this week, she hosted the show, preformed on the show and presented some of the music industries biggest stars. We couldn't take our eyes off her outfits. Fun, different and almost costume like. Kind of the way she always dresses. We love that she is different and we get inspired by her. We can't wait to see what she will we be wearing next.

Katy Perry in a few of her most inspirational outfits:

Cute cute cute

Fun, asian and very Haku hero :)

One of her outfits at the MTV awards show. The support for Barack Obama being elected as president was THE message on the show and Katy brought the message with glamour :)

An everyday outfit for Katy. Fierce!

A different Halloween...

Who says costume parties are getting old?
If you find it boring, you're probably just aint creative enough. Again, japanese people well-known for their creativity in fashion are one step ahead of us when it comes to costumes.

Be inspired to look a lot different than everyone else this Haloween:

A scary Alice in Wonderland look.

The girl devil costume is a classic but here in a more original way.

Loving this Halloween look. The big hair, dramatic eyes and goth outfit is a great clash.

A phantom of the opera kinda look. Very original and oh so cute and stylish!

Acessorize more girls! Look at this girl for inspiration. On Halloween there is no less is more. More is better, overdo it big time!

Lots of love,

/HH

Week 44/08

She is the fashion blog princess of Sweden. Only 18 years old but with an enormously good sense of style. We think her outfits are genious, playful and fantastic. She is already an inspiration to a lot of young girls out there. Not only for the way she dresses but for what she already has accomlished at such a young age. A modelling career, an online shopping site and an extremly successful blog. Amanda Berg is this weeks Haku hero!

There's a rumour going around that she will design an own collection for Bikbok... That will be another stepping stone in the career of this young girl. She goes after her dreams with a determination rarely seen on others. And she will make it big(ger) some day!

These are our favourite Amanda Berg outfits:

The mix of cuteness and coolness couldn't be better :)

LOVE the shoes, and the styling overall is a winner!

Keep inspire others Amanda!
